My car battery gaged 12.1 or 12.2 volts (12.8 is good/new) on the multimeter before I used this charger/ desulfator. The multimeter now reads 12.4 volts. So it does work a little.
The battery in question is 2 1/2 yrs old Walmart Gold (3 year) type. This
product is definitely useful. On the negative side, the instructions are a little confusing to understand,and the product itself has various places where a red or green or plain colored lights appear; but the Optimate does whatever has to be done once plugged in.
Also, the terminals from the car battery must be disconnected from
the battery posts for Optimate to work effectively, though failure to
disconnect will not harm car or product.
